Hi! I’m Anita – the person behind the one-woman business Sew What.

I make everything on this website by hand, from start to finish – and the only thing I love more than sewing is making other people happy! (ok, maybe coffee is somewhere on that list too…)

I have sewn all my life and started making my own clothes because I was tired of not finding things in my style or my size on the high street. I’ve never been one to stick to the same style or follow trends religiously – the way I dress changes on a daily basis to reflect my personality!

I figured there must be others out there who felt like they couldn’t find exactly what they were looking for – and that’s when I set up Sew What.

Sew What is for all you magpies who love vintage, love mixing styles and love finding something special that no one is wearing.

It’s also for anyone who is just starting out on their sustainable journey, trying to learn more about slow-fashion and thinking consciously about how and why they shop.

It’s for anyone who notices the little details that really make an outfit – when stripes match perfectly, when the inside of an item looks as good as the outside!

Sew What is for anyone who wants to have fun getting dressed again – whether that’s through unique ready-to-wear items, having something made to order, or learning how to make your own clothes.

I want you to be able to see and feel the difference it can make when your style and personality is truly reflected in the clothes you wear.

There’s nothing quite as empowering as dressing in a way that makes you feel good, happy and represented - and I care deeply and strongly about making that happen!

You won’t find anything but support, positivity and mindfulness here – I promise to keep things jargon-free (or explain things if I use a technical term!) and most of all – fun! We’re all on this journey together, so go explore what I can offer you and feel free to get in touch!
